BACCO ARTIGIANO. La Rufina in festa!

Per questo fine settimana vi segnaliamo un evento ideale per una scampagnata fuori porta: la XXXV edizione del Bacco Artigiano a Rufina.

La festa più sentita del territorio rufinese, che coinvolge in piazza tutta la cittadinanza fin dal lontano 1900. La campagna circostante si colora con i vivaci toni dell'autunno e tante iniziative cercano di coinvolgere i visitatori alla riscoperta dei sapori della tradizione contadina.

E il vino?

Il vino ha ormai un ruolo marginale nel contesto della festa del paese. Il consorzio dei produttori vinicoli ha ottenuto solo uno spazio Wine Bar in Piazza Umberto I... e indovinate dove?!?! Vicino a uno stand della birra!!!!

Sopravvive fortunatamente la tradizionale sfilata del Carro Matto: un carro con centinaia di fiaschi impilati a piramide, che rievoca il sistema di cablaggio dei fiaschi sui carri per il trasporto su strada del vino dalle campagne fino al mercato fiorentino.
La rievocazione storica avrà luogo a Firenze in piazza Signoria sabato 25 e a Rufina domenica 26.

Tra le altre iniziative proposte, per conoscere la festa nel suo vero spirito, possiamo consigliare una visita alle cantine aperte del centro cittadino oppure la mostra “La straordinaria storia del Vino: da bacco all’etilometro” presso Villa Poggio Reale - Museo della Vite e del Vino .

E' un vero peccato che non si respiri più l'originale sapore di gioia per celebrare la vendemmia, l'uva e il lavoro della comunità nelle vigne del comune e forse, proprio per questo, il Consorzio del Chianti Rufina dovrebbe essere più coinvolto nell'organizzazione dell'evento.

This weekend we announce an event perfect for a trip to the country of Rufina: the XXXV edition of Bacco Artigiano.

The most important event of Rufina that involve all citizens in the streets since 1900. The surrounding countryside is colored with the vibrant colors of autumn and many initiatives seeking to engage visitors to rediscover the flavors of traditional peasant.

And the wine?

The wine has  a marginal role in the context of the event. The consortium of wine producers of Chianti Rufina only got one space at the Wine Bar in Umberto I square…and guess where? Near the beer!!!

Fortunately the traditional parade of the Carro Matto is survived: a cart with hundreds of bottles stacked in a pyramid, reminiscent of the wiring system of the bottles on carts, for road transport of wine from the countryside to Florence.
The event will take place in Florence in the Signoria square Saturday, October 25, and in Rufina Sunday, October 26.

Among the other initiatives proposed, to learn about the event in its true spirit, we recommend a visit to the wine cellars in the city center or to the Villa of Poggio Reale where you can find, inside the Wine Museum, the esposition “The extraordinary story of Wine: from Bacco to the breathalyzer”.

It 's a pity that we couldn't breathe the original taste of joy of the celebrate the harvest, the grapes and the community work of the vineyards in the country of Rufina: probably, it could be resolved with the involving the Consortium of Chianti Rufina in the organization of the event.

WINETOWN - Mostra della collezione "Il Borro"

Una delle proposte più suggestive delle giornate del WineTown è senza dubbio la mostra "Da Mantegna a Manet. Capolavori del Borro" presso la Palazzina della Livia in Piazza San Marco Firenze.

Si tratta di una mostra di rari capolavori: partendo dai superbi Baccanali di Andrea Mantegna, ai tratti morbidi di Paul Rubens, alla fiera di paese tratteggiata da Jacque Callot, passando per i notturni del grande Rembrandt o la maestosità delle cantine pompeiane di Giovan Battista Piranesi, si arriverà ad ammirare il bel Chanteur espagnol di Éduard Manet.

La curatrice della mostra, Martina Becattini, studiosa di arte orientale nell’importante Museo Stibbert di Firenze, ha organizzato un percorso per guidare i visitatori attraverso le molteplici passioni, relazioni e tradizioni umane con cui il vino ha accompagnato e influenzato la cultura dei popoli.

Un viaggio di grande fascino nel tempo e nell'arte per osservare i “modi del bere”, fra gli uomini e fra gli dei. Il vino si mostra, dunque, come bevanda che può portare al ridicolo personalità di alto rango, facendole comportarsi come straccioni, o elevare la povera gente alle altezze della poesia e dell’arte.

Ambiguità che deriva dalla stessa ambiguità del suo creatore divino: Dioniso, come ci illustra il Mantegna nelle sue splendide incisioni.

One of the more evocative events of “WineTown” is undoubtedly the exhibition of paintings "Da Mantegna a Manet. Capolavori del Borro", in the “Palazzina della Livia”, in San Marco square.

This is an exhibition of rare works: beginning with the magnificent “Baccanali” of Andrea Mantegna, to the soft strokes of Paul Rubens, to the country fair painted by Jacque Callot, passing from the night's scenery of Rembrandt or from the cellars of Pompei of Giovan Battista Piranesi, we arrive to the beautiful Chanteur espagnol of Éduard Manet.

The curator of the exhibition, Martina Becattini, expert in Oriental art, curator at Stibbert Museum of Florence, organized a path to guide visitors through the multiple passions, relationships and human traditions with which the wine has accompanied and influenced the culture of peoples.

A fascinating journey through time and art for look at the "ways of drinking," among men and among the gods. The wine shows as a drink that can lead high-ranking persons to the ridiculous, behaving like beggars, or elevate the poor people to the heights of poetry and art.

Ambiguity that comes from the same ambiguity of its divine creator: Dioniso, how Mantegna illustrates in its splendid engravings.

The best place to enjoy the wine tasting, also through the eyes, to appreciate the taste that only great art can create and to enjoy the sensations that the great masters have been able to evoke.

WINETOWN - Il vino torna protagonista a Firenze

Il capoluogo toscano celebra il prodotto per eccellenza delle sue terre: Il vino.

E' stata organizzata una grande manifestazione, "Wine Town", che da Giovedì 30 settembre a Domenica 3 novembre si svolgerà nelle vie e nelle piazze del centro storico. Si potranno degustare grandi vini e la sera alcuni intrattenimenti musicali e teatrali faranno vivere una gioiosa festa di arte, cultura e spettacolo.

Dalla sua ideazione questo evento ha dovuto affrontare grandi problemi organizzativi (tutt'ora il sito ufficiale è un pò confusionario e incompleto), superati grazie anche a tanti partner, sponsor ed enti patrocinanti che a volte, però, non hanno molto a che fare con il mondo dell'enologia.

"Wine Town" non si presenta al pubblico come una vetrina specifica per l'assaggio e la scoperta dei grandi vini toscani ma come una manifestazione che celebra l'anima aggregante e festosa del vino.

Salutiamo con interesse questa prima edizione e staremo con gli occhi aperti per raccontarvi tutte le notizie che, come cantina vinicola, riusciremo a raccogliere.

Florence is celebrating the most important product of her country: the wine.

A large demonstration that involve in all the city, “Wine Town”, that from Thursday, September 30, to Sunday November 3, will take place in the streets and squares of the center.
You can taste great wines and listen some music and appreciate  some theatrical entertainment for live a joyful celebration of art, culture and entertainment.

From the beginning, this event has faced major organizational problems (the official site is still a little confusing and incomplete), that has overcome thanks to the many partners, sponsors and sponsoring institutions that sometimes, however, don't have much to do with the world of wine.

"Wine Town" does not appear to the public as a specific showcase for the tasting and for the discover the great wines of Tuscany, but as an event that celebrates the unifying spirit of the wine.

We welcome this first edition with interest and we pay attention to everything, to tell you the notices that, as a wine cellar, we can collect.
